Obituary of Flossie Amos
Flossie Amos, age 92 years of Dieppe, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, September 4th, 2010.
Born in McNairn Settlement on March 1st, 1918; she was the daughter of the late Neil and Matilda (Fisher) Cameron. Flossie was a member of the St. David's Presbyterian Church. She was a very talented quilter, seamstress, knitter and cook. Flossie was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Lovingly remembered by her daughters Jean Pollock (Tom) of Manitoba, Elizabeth Amos of Dieppe, NB, Marion Amos of Ottawa, ON, Barbara Amos (Neil Gardner) of McNairn, NB, Judith Amos of Springhill, NS; sons William "Peter" Amos of McNairn, NB, Donald Amos of Ste Marie de Kent, NB, Michael Amos of B.C; sister in law Wannona Cameron; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; also by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Predeceased by her husband Ralph W. Amos in 1979; son Richard C. Amos in 1984; sisters Lily Hicks, Nellie Sherwood, Flora Hicks, Ida McNairn, Cynthia Cameron, Jean Cameron; brothers Colin, Douglas, James and John Cameron.
Visitation at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 7th, 2010 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
A funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, September 8th, 2010 at 11:00am with Rev. Martin Kreplin officiating.
Interment will be in St. David's Cemetery, McNairn, NB.
In memory of Flossie, donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or IWK Foundation would be greatly appreciated by her family.
