Obituary of Leif E. Jensen

Leif Jensen, 74, of New Scotland, NB; passed away following a brief illness at The Moncton Hospital, on Sunday, December 1, 2019. Born in Oslo, Norway, he was the only son of the late Johan and Sigrid Jensen. He was employed with Brenco Excavating. Leif know by his friends and neighbours as "The Mayor of New Scotland". He was a huge Montreal Canadiens Fan, enjoyed NASCAR and was a huge fan of the Earnhardt Family. He also loved farming, socializing with friends, however his greatest love was his family. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Bonnie Jensen; near and dear to his heart, his sisters-in-law Betty Ayles and Helen Ayles; his special friends, Eddy Farron and Helio Savoie, also by his two nieces in Norway. Leif was the last surviving of his immediate family. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his father-in-law, Robert W. "Bobbie" Ayles and his mother-in-law, Mabelle Ann Ayles, also by his only sister Anna. Resting at Tuttle Brothers Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview with visitation on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 3:00pm with Rev. Jeff Irving officiating. Interment will be in Shaw Brook Cemetery. Donations in Leif's memory made to the Shaw Brook Cemetery Fund or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by his family.
