Obituary of Émerie "Emery" J LeBlanc
It is with heart-felt sadness that we announce that Émerie (Emery) J. LeBlanc, 82, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital, on Thursday, December 23, 2021. Born in Moncton, he was the son of Patrice and Yvonne (Gaudet) LeBlanc.
As a youngster, Émerie attended Collège l'Assomption and Oulton's Business College. He then worked for a while in Frobisher Bay before joining the Canadian Army as a member of the 22nd Regiment (Vandoos). He subsequently worked in Moncton for the Eaton's Company. Emery then started his career with Atlantic Speedy Propane and in 1993 he transferred to the Irving Oil Company where he remained until his retirement in 1998.
Émerie was a kind-hearted soul who enjoyed helping others. His former neighbors on Hows Crescent in Moncton will remember him as the one who would offer to mow their lawns or blow the snow out of their driveways, just to be helpful. He will be fondly remembered by those who knew him as a former member of the Lakeside Golf and Country Club and, especially, by members of the Moncton Air Force Vets Club where he frequently did volunteer work and often enjoyed entertaining people by singing for them with the featured bands.
He will be sadly missed by his many friends and relatives, especially by his ten surviving siblings. Sisters: Thérèse Bourgeault (late Mike), Marie-Anne Allain (late Laurie), Yvonne Robichaud (late Alonso) Patricia Losier (Alfred), Lorraine LeBlanc, Stella Lipton (Cy) and Louise Chabassol (Harold); and brothers: Normand (Yvette), Leonard (Simone) and Wilfred (Gloria).
Besides his parents, Émerie was predeceased by his loving wife Marilyn (Bell) LeBlanc, sister Jeanne Gaudet (Albénie) and brothers Yvon (Françoise) and Robert (Murielle).
