Obituary of Steven R. Shanks

Steven Shanks of Moncton passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at the age of 43. Born in Moncton on May 16, 1979 he is the son of Rick and Nicole (Charlebois) Shanks of Moncton. Steven was a graduate of HTHS Class of 1997. He attended Atlantic Petroleum Training College in 2002. In his younger years he was involved with Scouts Canada and received Chief Scout in 1993. He enjoyed basketball and was involved with M.K.M.B.A. throughout his life. He enjoyed golf and cheering on the Boston Bruins. Besides his parents Rick and Nicole, he is survived by his brother, Ryan of Moncton; son, Branden and daughter, Chloe both of Moncton; maternal grandmother, Eva Richard; former common law partner, Jeanne; also by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Edison and Irene Shanks and by his maternal grandfather, Leo Richard. As per family request there will be no funeral or visitation. A celebration of life will take place at a later date in Grand Lake, NB where he spent 18 years of his life.
