ALBERT HÉBERT

Obituary of ALBERT J. HÉBERT

Surrounded by his loving family, Albert passed away peacefully at the Georges Dumont Hospital on Friday, February 23rd, 2007, at the age of 83. He was a very dedicated and loving husband, an outstanding Dad and a one of kind “pépére Bute”. Albert was born in Moncton and was a veteran of the Second World War, serving with the Carleton York Regiment. He was a retired lifelong employee of NB Power, but the job he brought life to, the one that truly mattered to him, was taking care of his family. He was an avid hockey and curling fan, and was an active athlete himself. His artistic talents involved painting, woodwork, music, and old photographs. His creations have touched many hearts. He was the son of late Tilmon Hébert and Jeanne Cormier. A dedicated husband to his late wife Maria Goguen. A loving father to Ronald (Claire), Claudette (Charles), Dorice, Roger (Denise), and Marc (Tanya). And a very proud grandfather of Chris (Stacey), Serge, Mélanie, Sophie, Sébastien & Véronique. He is survived by two siblings: Yvonne & Olivier. “Bute” will be sorrowly missed by his family, and he will be fondly remembered as a man who truly knew how to love, and who led his life with humility, respect, creativity, and best of all, humour. His has left us with quite a legacy! Relatives and Friends may pay their respects at the Tuttles Funeral Home on Lutes Street, Moncton on Monday, February 26th, 2007 from 7:00 to 9:00pm. The funeral mass will be at the L'Assomption Cathedral on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at 10:00am with Fr. Yvon Cormier officiating. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in the spring. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home, (506) 857-8564. Online condolences can be made via www.tuttlefuneralhome.ca
