Obituary of Erma Mary Ermen

The death of Erma Mary Ermen (LeBlanc) of Wesley Street, Moncton, occurred at the Moncton Hospital on Saturday, July 29th, 2006. Born on February 18th, 1915, Erma was the daughter of the late Hyppolite and Celia LeBlanc. Erma was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Samuel, and her six sisters, Sarah, Eveline, Aurelia, Helen, Lena, and three brothers, Alphonse, Abby, and Levi. Her wonderful smile welcomed and warmed everyone she met. For many years, she worked at Eaton’s as a seamstress, was an active curler with the Moncton Beaver Club, a member of St. Bernard’s Church, and has been a devoted member of the CWL for over 65 years. Family was the most important thing to Erma. She is survived by her three children, Phyllis Dunn (Tony), Samuel Ermen Jr. (Donna), and Ronald (Linda). Erma, affectionately known as “Nan”, had nine grandchildren David Dunn, Dennis Dunn (Eloise Degilio), Rodney Ermen (Karen), Kenny Ermen (Annette), Derek Ermen (Rachelle), Jason Dunn (Denise), Alaina Alexander (Rob), Dawn Ermen, and Jeffrey Ermen (Sherry). In addition, Nan had eleven dear great-grand children … Erika, Sarah, Jesse, Hannah, Julia, Brandon, Logan, Jay, Lily, Katie, and Sean - all of whom she loved so very much, and looked up to their “Great-Nan”. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Nan lived to celebrate gatherings with her family … her soul & spirit will live on in the many people she has touched over the years. The family is very appreciative of the care she received from the doctors, nurses and staff at the Sussex Health Centre over the past eight weeks. Arrangements are under the care of Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz Street, Moncton (857-8564). Family members will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 2nd from 2-4PM & 7-9PM, with parish prayers at 8:30pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 3rd at St. Bernard’s Church at 9:30AM. Online condolences can be made via www.tuttlefuneralhome.ca
