Obituary of Edward Lloyd George Martin
George Martin, of Hillsborough, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at the age of 89 years.
Born in Moncton he was the son of the late William and Minnie (Morton) Martin. He was retired from The Maritimes Weather Office in Bedford, NS. He attended St. George's Anglican Church. He was a member of The Hilsborough Legion Branch #32, The Air Force Vet's Club of Moncton, #253 wing RCAFA, The Bide-A-While Shelter Society, Dartmouth, NS. He served overseas with 406 Squardon, Royal Canadian Air Force During World WWII. George was the proud creator to the theme song for The Moncton High School.
He is survived by his sister Patricia Marjorie Martin of The K. E. Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of Pointe Du Chene.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister Barbara Anne Young.
The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel, 171 Lutz St. on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 11:30 am with Rev. Chris VanBuskirk officiating.
Interment will be in St. Martins In The Wood Anglican Cemetery.
