Obituary of Arthur L. Buck

Arthur L. Buck of Riverview, NB passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at the age of 83 years. Born in Dorchester Cape, NB on January 4, 1924 he was the son of the late Elmer and Grace (Hopper) Buck. Art retired from The Canadian National Railways with 41 years service; He was a charter member of Brentwood Baptist Church, where he served on various boards and committees; he was a member of The Riverview Veterans and Armed Forces Association; he was a veteran of WWII serving with The Royal Canadian Air Forces. Left with fond memories are his daughter Joyce and Tom Nelson of Fredericton; sons Bruce Buck of Riverview, and Gordon and Karen Buck of Sussex; brother Bedford and Ruth Buck of Riverview; sister Shirley and Norman Dallin of Riverview and Grace and James Hankinson of Toronto; grandchildren Laura, Michael, and Susan Buck and Alexander, Jennifer, and Eric Nelson; also by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Ruth (Cummings)Buck in 2002; one brother William Buck and one sister Ferne Harris. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. with visitation on Friday, March 23, 2007 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. The Riverview Veterans and Armed Forces Association will be holding a veterans service at the funeral home Friday evening at 6:45pm. The funeral service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Laurie Fenerty officiating. There will be a reception to follow. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In Art's memory, donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
