Obituary of Edward “Ed” Burnett

Edward “Ed” Burnett, age 87 years of Royal Court, Riverview; passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, April 6th, 2009. Born on April 27th, 1921 in Aberdeen, Scotland; he was the eldest son of the late Adam and Jeanne (Grant) Burnett. After his army service, Ed started Burnett’s Oil Electric Ltd. which he owned and operated for 53 years. Up until the past few years he and his wife Chris enjoyed travelling with their friends and members of the Family Motor Coach Association … in particular the Perfect Circle Group. Ed will be sorely missed and remembered by his friends and family; wife M. Christine “Chris” Burnett; Beverly Jean Capanna (Dan); son William D. Burnett (Mel) both of Australia; grandson Adam ; and brother Russell Burnett (Mavis) or Ontario. By personal request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at the Tuttle Bros. Memorial Chapel on Thursday, April 9th, 2009 at 11:00am with Rev. Ron Maund officiating.
