Obituary of Eleanor P. Steeves

Eleanor P. Steeves, of Fundy Manor, Hillsborough, and formerly of Riverview, passed away at The Moncton Hospital Moncton on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at the age of 87 years. Born in Madison, Maine, USA she was the daughter of the late Rex and Goldie (Smith) Steeves. Eleanor was a former employee of NBTel and a retired employee of Ford's Pharmacy. She was also a past member of the Women's Institute in Hillsborough and a past member of Heritage Hillsborough. She is fondly remembered by her daughters Hollis Knowlton (Gerald) of Alma, Deborah Locke (David) of Australia, Jocelyn Pedersen (Roger) of Hillsborough, five grandchildren Micheale-Ann Kincer (Larry), Kimberly Bishop (Darrell), Mathew Knowlton(Michelle), Thomas Pedersen (Heidi) and Josh Pedersen; three great grandchildren Christopher, Bradley and Riley; one sister Shirley Steeves of Hillsborough; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Page F. Steeves in 1990 and by five brothers and three sisters. At Eleanor’s request no viewing, visitation or funeral service will be held. Cremation has taken place with the Riverview Funeral Home and Crematorium. Interment will be in Grey's Island Cemetery at a later date. Donations in Eleanor’s memory made to the William Henry Steeves House, Hillsborough or to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated.
