Obituary of Anita "Rosie" Lutes
Rosie ,68, of Moncton passed away peacefully on June 12, 2007 at the Moncton Hospital .
Rosie was born in New Glasgow, NS on January 20, 1939 the daughter of Harry and Mary McDonald, lovingly raised by Adeline and Tom Carrigan. She was one of the best bartenders around having retired a few years ago. She belonged to the Air Force Veterans Club, the I.O.O.B. and the Big Dog Lounge. She loved socializing , singing and dancing, and just living life to the fullest. She was known for her great sense of humour and always joked and laughed with everyone. Once you met Rosie you would never forget her. She was a small lady but with big attitude.The main thing in her life was her family, she cherished all the times they spent together and was very close to her children and grandchildren. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. Rosie was a very special person and will live on in the hearts of her family forever.
She will be deeply missed by her special companion and best friend Sylvester "Sly" Bennett; daughters Theresa Scott (Brian) of Riverview, Anita Beletski (Mike) of Riverview; sons Tom Dacey (Mary) of Riverview, Lloyd Slaunwhite and Paul Slaunwhite both of Halifax; her precious grandchildren Mandy, Kyle, Kristy, Nick, Melissa, Jeff, Thomas, Cody, Bret, Alica, Shannon and Jena; several brother and sisters, nieces and nephews and by many friends.
She will be resting at the Riverview Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday evening from 7-9pm, Friday 2-4, 7-9pm. There will be Parish Prayers and a time of sharing at the Funeral Home on Friday evening at 8:30pm, come willing to share a story or a memory of Rosie. The Funeral Service will be held at the Riverview Funeral Home on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 11am with Father Daniel Deveau officiating. Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends at the Air Force Veterans Club for further sharing of memories and for refreshments.
