Obituary of Eileen Sanford Shearer

Eileen Sanford - Shearer, 88, formerly of Buckingham Ave. Riverview, NB; passed away at Monarch Hall in Riverview on Sunday, March 16, 2014. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Ann (Hope) O'Blenis. Eileen was employed at M.W. & J.B. MacDonald Dental Lab prior to her marriage to Fenton. She was a member of the Riverview Baptist Church and a member of the Goldenaires. Eileen was Past Deputy District of #6 District of the Pythian Sisters and a lifelong member of Tidal Wave Temple # 16 Moncton, she was Past Mistress & Honorary Member of The Right Worshipable Grand Lodge of New Brunswick, Past Chief of Sunset Temple # 36 and a member L.O.B.A. as well as a member of Charles Angels Round Dancing Club and the Golden Jets Bowling League. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Linda (Pedro Qiunones) of Florida and Shelly Sanford of Riverview, NB; her sons Kenneth Sanford (Theresa Mae) of Riverview and Gary Sanford of Shenstone NB; one grandson Leslie (Sue); by several great grandchildren; one brother Bill O'Blenis of Little River, NB; as well as several nieces and nephews. Ellen was predeceased by her husband’s Fenton Sanford, Harold Lockerbie, and A. Bruce Shearer; by her grand-daughter Faye Sanford; also by her brother Wilfred O'Blenis and by sisters; Muriel Moulden, Shirley Howe, Audrey Beels and infant sister Ruth O'Blenis. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. Moncton, NB on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel, 171 Lutz Street, Moncton on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jonathan Gorham officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton at a later date. Donations in Eileen's memory made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
