Obituary of Raymond Arsenault

Raymond Arsenault, 76, of Moncton, NB; passed away at The Moncton Hospital, on Friday, March 16, 2012. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Albert and Agnes Arsenault. Ray was an Electrician and head of the local union with the CNR before his retirement. Following his retirement, Ray drove cars for Lounsbury Automotive and Hertz Rent A Car. Presently he was employed with the City of Moncton as Head Scheduler of Special Events at the Moncton Coliseum and he also worked numerous events at the Moncton 4 Plex. He was a member of St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Parish, where he was an usher for many years and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1310. Ray also enjoyed playing hockey and was a former member of the Old-timers Hockey League for many years. A loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend, he will be sadly missed by his wife Ruby Arsenault; his daughters Patsy Richardson (Doug) of Albert Mines, Donna Arsenault of Moncton and Susan Small (Bernie) of Pine Glen, step children Kimberley Cunningham (Kevin) of Wisener Rd., Whitney Stanton (Frank)of Hillsborough and Dwight Dykeman (Jennifer) of Moncton; son-in-law Wayne Colpitts of Riverview; grandchildren Derrick, Sheldon, Angela, Matthew, Laura and Evan; great-grandchildren Twyla, Izac and TJ; as well as cousins, many close friends and co-workers. Besides his adopted parents he was predeceased by his first wife Marjorie (Bauer); his daughter Betty Ann Colpitts and a great grandson Timothy. Honoring Raymond's wishes there is no viewing at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church on Botsford St. Moncton on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 12:00 pm with Father Allison Carroll officiating. Donations in Raymond's memory made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation "Palliative Care" or to St. Bernard's Church would be appreciated by his family. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Bros.
