Obituary of Gordon Sterling Fall

Gordon Sterling Fall, 87 years, of Moncton passed away at the Dr. G. L. Dumont University Hospital with family by his side on Saturday, March 30, 2013. Born in Moncton on April 23, 1925 he was the son of the late Heber and Alice (Lutes) Fall. After his time served with the Armed Forces Gordon remained a member of the Korean War Veterans. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6 and a member of the Air Force Veterans Club. He enjoyed his time with the Moncton Curling Association where he was the ice maker, and at Campers City in Moncton where worked as grounds keeper. Survived by daughters Bridget Hope (Jack) of Moncton, Barbara Fava (Joe) of Toronto, Ivy Fall (Reid Smith) of Moncton and Karen MacIntosh (Fred Surette) of Moncton; brother Heber Fall (Adeline) of Riverview; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and two on the way; and also by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Eileen (Tobin) Fall; daughters Lillian Brazeau in 2006, Catherine Fall 1988 and by an infant daughter Marjorie; son William in 1999; sisters Lillian Ardiff, Ena Landry, Elsie Raworth; brothers Robert Fall and Jim Fall. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. Moncton on Tuesday April 2, 2013 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6 will be holding a prayer service at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon at 3:45pm. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Wednesday April 3, 2013 at 11:00am with Pastor Metard Salomon officiating and Mr. Roger Robichaud assisting. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Donations in Gordon's memory made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
