Obituary of Edward "Eddie" Arsenault

Edward "Eddie" Arsenault, of Dieppe, passed away at The Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital, on Saturday, August 02, 2014. Born in Bloomfield, PE. on July 8, 1917, he was the son of the late Remi and Celina (Martin) Arsenault. Eddie was a well known fiddler in Moncton and was a member of the Fiddlers Association. Survived by daughter Jeannette Robichaud (Thomas) of Saint-Antoine; five sons Ron (Charline) of Moncton, Roger of Edmonton, AB., Terry (Penny) of Woodstock, Gerry of Shediac and Michael Arsenault of Moncton.; three sisters Alice Arsenault (late Stanley) of Ottawa, Ont., Marie Arsenault of Ont. and Anita Penner (late Joe). He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Vienneau in 2007; sister Margaret (Louis Peters). By personal request cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service held at the funeral home, a private burial will take place at a later date. Donations in Eddie's memory made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
