Obituary of Gerald James Delahunt

Gerald James Delahunt, 68, formerly of Moncton and Dieppe, passed away peacefully at Forest Dale Nursing Home, Riverside-Albert on Thursday, January 22, 2015. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Leonard J. and Stella Marie (LeBlanc) Delahunt. He attended St. Bernard's Parish. Remembered by his sister Linda Jones (Jeff) of Ottawa; one niece and five nephews Christopher (Angie), Scott and Gregory Jones, Meghan (Jeremy), Patrick and Ryan Horsman; brother in law William "Bill" Horsman; uncles and aunts William (Kathleen) Delahunt, Paul (Leatrice) LeBlanc, Jeanette Jarrett, Marge, and Greta; as well as several cousins. Besides his parents, Gerald was predeceased by his sister Debbie Horsman in 2006. Honouring Gerald's wishes there is no viewing at the Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home. The Funeral mass will be held at St. Bernard's Parish Church, Botsford St. Moncton on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 11:00 am with Father Charles Broderick officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, NB in the spring. In Lieu of flowers, donations made to Canadian Mental Health Association in Gerald's memory would be appreciated by the family.
