Obituary of Edna Bagnell
Bagnell, Edna Irene, 83, of Truro, Nova Scotia passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, in the early morning on Thursday, April 23rd, 2015.
A country girl who lost her mother at the age of 4, raised with one sister and five brothers, by a covered bridge on a dairy farm. She learned the very best of her strong, caring personality from her father Wilfred Budd and his sister, Millie McConnell.
A loving mother to more than her own children, she embodied the word WONDERFUL, making each individual she was with feel just as special as the next. Edna enjoyed the challenges and adventures of raising a large family on the move. Following her husband, Ansley, in numerous business ventures throughout Canada and the Unites States, she arranged school attendance for five children in eleven different cities and set up more than twenty different homes in her lifetime.
Returning to Pugwash each summer, she enjoyed her family cottage, known as the "Dew Drop Inn", with numerous relatives and friends. She will always be remembered for sharing all that she had with many.
Receiving Salvation as a young girl, she was associated with the Gospel Hall Christians throughout her lifetime.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ansley, her sister Marjorie, and her brothers Gordon and Clifford. She is survived by her brothers Clarence, Moncton (wife Eleanor), Cecil, Moncton and Winston, St. John (wife Wanda), sister-in-law Olive, and her five children; Dale, San Francisco, Valerie, Calgary (husband Ron Beechey), Heather, Halifax (husband Bruce Barbour), Ross, Fort McMurray, Beth, Halifax, as well as twelve grandchildren and eleven great- grandchildren.
A celebration of Edna's life will be held on Monday, April 27th, 2015 at 10 a.m., at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Road, Riverview, New Brunswick. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 26th from 2 – 4 p.m. at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home as well.
