Obituary of Gerard Delphis Junior Roy

Gerard Delphis Junior Roy, of Ammon, NB; passed away peacefully with family by his side at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital, on Saturday, August 13, 2016. Born in Moncton he was the son of the late Delphis and Madeline (Gautreau) Roy. Gerard retired after many years working in construction. He was an avid horseshoe player and also enjoyed darts and bowling. He was a member of the Mooselodge in Kitchener ON. He is survived by his daughters Lucille Roy (Rob) and Kelley Petley; sons Michael Roy and Danny Roy (Brenda) all of Moncton; sisters Anita (Paul Emile) Sirois of Adamsville, Lydia (Bill) Green of Moncton, Rita Dellmont of Moncton, Sylvia (Fred) Morgan of ON, Diane Fitzgerald of Memramcook, Pauline (Frank) Bastarache of Moncton, Lorette (Derek) Mercury of ON, Joanne (Jack) Monterino of ON, Claudette Roy of ON, and Donna (Richard) Nault of ON; brothers Clifford (Louise) of Moncton, George (Jeanette) of ON, Gerald (Delia) of Moncton, Raymond (Mirelle) of Moncton, Roger of Calgary, Paul (Delores) of ON, Bobby of ON, and Brian (Ruspal) of Calgary; grandson Joshua Petley of Moncton; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his infant sister Rita, infant brother Gerald, and by his special brother Lionel. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 10:00am until time of service which will take place at 11:00am with Father Allison Carroll officiating. Interment will be in St. Timothy's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Adamsville, NB. Donations in Gerard’s memory made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
