Obituary of Edith I. Caseley
Edith I. Caseley, 95, of Riverview, NB; passed away with her family at her side on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at The Moncton Hospital Born in Ellerslie, PEI, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Millie Dystant. Edith was a member of St. Paul's United Church Riverview and a life member of the UCW of St. Paul's. She was also a former member of the Riverview Lioness and the IODE.
Edith and her husband Ralph loved to travel the globe, however their trip to the 1972 hockey series, Canada vs Russia was their most memorable. A loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend she will sadly missed by her daughter Janice Bannister (Barry Ripley) of Riverview; grandsons Cory Bannister (Casey Cuff) of Barrie, ON and Scott Bannister of London, ON and by her adoring great granddaughters Hannah, Mackenzie and Alexandria, as well as nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Ralph S. Caseley in 2000, by her daughter Paula Caseley in 1966 and by her sisters Ethel and Ferne The Funeral service will be held at St. Paul's United Church, Cleveland Ave. Riverview, on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 2:00pm with Rev. Steve Berube officiating. Interment will be in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside, PEI Donations in Edith's memory made to the to St. Paul's United Church Building Fund would be appreciated by her family.
