Obituary of John David Bell
John D. Bell, 89, of Berry Mills, NB; passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Monday, September 24, 2018 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Caledonia, NB, he was the son of the late David and Clara (Boudreau) Bell. John retired as Maintenance Manager for Lockhart Building Supplies and property manager of Square Lake. He was an active and lifelong member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Moncton. A kind and loving husband, father, gramps, brother and friend, he will be sadly missed by his wife Marjorie J. Bell; his daughter Holly Sowerby (Larry) of Dartmouth, NS; his son Stephen Bell (Debbie) of Beaver Bank, NS; six grandchildren Andrew Sowerby (Kate Sinclair), Sarah Sowerby (Jean Sebastien Cote) and Alison Sowerby, Matthew Bell (Terra), Christopher Bell (Angela) and Ashley Bell; five great grandchildren; three sisters Jean Fowler (the late Cecil) of Lutes Mountain, Joyce Bussey (Bob) of Moncton and Phyllis Parks (the late John) of Newcastle; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife Hazel Bell, a grandson Nicholas, three sisters Vera, Mildred and Lillian and by six brothers Dan, Jim, Nelson, Wallace, Alfred and Eddy Bell. Resting at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Moncton with visitation on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. The Funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11:00 am with Pastor Joel Eastwood officiating. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens Donations in John 's memory made to Emmanuel Baptist Bible Institute or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
