Obituary of Dorothy Margaret Mannette

Dorothy M. Mannette (nee Myatt), of Riverview, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at the age of 68 after a lengthy illness. Born January 31, 1938 in Chezzetcook, NS she was the daughter of the late Edna Myatt (nee Redmond) and Bert Myatt. She is survived by her loving husband Roy, they were happily married having just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. She is also survived by her five children Dave (Marie) of Riverview, Kevin (Heather) of Denver, Colorado, Cindy of Ottawa, Barry (Bridgitte) of Riverview, and Lynn (Richard) Lawrence of Riverview; grandchildren Christine, Angela, Samantha, Jenan, Jamie, Ethan, Danielle, Anessa, Emily and Benjamin; great grandchildren Campbell and Chase; brothers Burton (Judy) Myatt, David (Audrey) Myatt both of Chezzetcook, NS. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sister Jean Burgess. Dorothy enjoyed many years of sailing the Caribbean with her husband, she recently had travelled as member of the Perfect Circle Motorhome Club. She was recently awarded a life membership of The Riverview Lioness Club for her dedicated service and for the numerous offices and committees she chaired over the years. Dorothy was an avid creative writer and artist. The family will receive visitors at The Riverview Funeral Home, Riverview, NB on Saturday October 21, 2006 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. Service will be at Saint Anseleme Roman Catholic Church, West Chezzetcook, NS on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 11:00 am In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by her family.
