Obituary of David "Dave" R. Melanson

Dave Melanson, 50, of Riverview, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, October 20, 2007. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Ralph and Catherine "Kay" (Belliveau) Melanson. Dave was an avid sportsman, enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a musician and songwriter and was a member of the Hollow Bodies. A thoughtfully, loving and kind husband, father, brother and a friend to young and old, all those who knew him, loved him. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his wife Darla Melanson; his children Janice, Matthew, Jamie, Cody and Megan; grandchildren Chanelle and Jayden; his sister Brenda Richard (Felix) of Moncton; his brothers Barry Melanson (Debbie) of Fords Mills, and Jeff Melanson (Karen) of South Branch; his mother-in-law Sandy Irwin of Moncton as well as nieces, nephews and numerous friends. A Celebration of Life and Sharing Memories will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Pine Glen Rd. Riverview on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 from 7:00 to 9:00pm.
