Obituary of Dorothy Winnifred Stevens
Dorothy W. Stevens, 95, of Autumn Lee Seniors Residence, Salisbury, NB and formerly of Centennial Towers, Cameron St. Moncton passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, March 25, 2008. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Ralph N. and Ida M. (Stockall) Black. Dorothy was educated in Moncton and was employed as a Stenographer with CNR for most of her life , in later years she was employed with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of Central United Church, Queen St. Moncton and she was a former member of the Choir.
Dorothy is survived by nieces and nephews in England and Scotland.
She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband Frederick Maurice "Steve" Stevens, in 2003 and by her brother Frank Black.
At Dorothy's request there is no visitation at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, Moncton, NB
A graveside and committal service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton at a later date with Rev. Jim MacDonald officiating.
Donations in Dorothy's memory made to the Charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
