Obituary of David Douglas Chisholm

"Doug" Chisholm, age 88 years, of Moncton, passed away at the Moncton Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late A. A. Gus Chisholm and the late Agnes (Gillis) Chisholm. Doug began his career with CNR in 1941 and retired in 1980 as Station Agent at Coldbrook and Sussex, NB. He was a member of the CN Pensioners Association and a former member of the Beaver Curling in Moncton and Sussex Curling Club. He attended St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church. Doug's favorite past time was watching TV, hockey games (the Montreal Canadiens) and in the summer the Toronto Blue Jays. Doug's greatest passion however was his family, he also loved animals, a passion he passed on to his family. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 63 years Loretta Chisholm; his children Linda Chisholm of Moncton and David Chisholm of Rothesay, NB; two grandchildren Erica and Aaron; he also leaves to mourn two sisters Joan Hoffman (Don) of Moncton and Sister Kathleen Chisholm C.N.D. of Miramichi; as well as nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter in law Pam Chisholm and his sister Audrey Murphy. Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. Moncton, with visitation on Friday, October 9, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm The funeral mass will be held at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, corner of Dominion St. and Mountain Rd. Moncton on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 9:00 am with Fr. Yvon Arsenault officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
