Obituary of Donald William Jones

Donald William Jones, of Riverview passed away on arrival at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at the age of 69 years. Born in St. Catherines, ON on March 20, 1941; he was the son of the late Tillston "Nord" and Hilda (Windibank) Jones. Donald excelled in various positions at Canadian Tire working at locations in both St. Catherines, and Deippe, with over 54 years service. Having worked for the past 35 years at The Canadian Tire in Dieppe. A loving husband, father, brother, friend and papa, he will be sadly missed by his wife Bonnie-Lynne (Oakley); daughter Leigh-Anne Jones and her husband Brad Carruthers of Riverview; sons Trevor and his wife Bernice of Riverview and Kevin and his wife Sarah of Irishtown; brother Robert and his wife Arlene of St. Catherines, ON; his only grandson and the joy of his life Jacob Jones who papa spent countless hours with; also by many friends. A memorial service will be held at St. George's Anglican Church on Wednesday February 9, 2011 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Chris VanBuskirk officiating. In Don's memory, donations made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Due to allergies, please refrain from wearing scented products.
