Obituary of Daniel "Dan" Joseph Blakely

Dan Blakely; age 48, of Lower Coverdale, NB; passed away peacefully with his family at his side at The Moncton Hospital, on Sunday, April 17, 2011. Born in Chatham, NB; he is the son of Margaret "Peggy" Ann (Dempsey) Blakely and the late Bernard G. Blakely. He was Manager of Operations and Maintenance, Moncton Branch of Trailer Wizards. He was a member of Lower Coverdale Baptist Church. Dan had a great love for his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, which he shared with everyone. He was very enthusiastic about his work, he also enjoyed reading, genealogy research, and a wide range of music, however his greatest love was that for his family. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Crystal (Power) Blakely; daughters Victoria and Shannon at home; sons Ryan Power of Lower Coverdale, Tyler of Riverview, William and Michael both at home; his mother Peggy Blakely of Chatham; by Crystal's parents Doreen and William Power of Lower Coverdale; one sister Maureen Williston (Ralph) of Miramichi; two brothers Randy (Glenda) of Miramichi and Bernard (Teresa) of Grand Bay-Westfield; sister-in-law Kelly Power; brothers-in-law Bill Power (Sue), Lester Power (Shelley) and Edward Power (Shelly); special friend Marlene Hueston of Riverview; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Resting at the Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. with visitation on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Lower Coverdale Baptist Church, 1121 Rte 114 Lower Coverdale, NB on Thursday April 21, 2011 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Ken Rains officiating.
