Obituary of Doris Mary MacLeod

Doris M. MacLeod, 79, of Moncton, NB; passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital, on Sunday, December 18, 2011. Born in Moncton, NB she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ida (Daigle) Dupuis. She was a member of St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church. Doris loved bowling and she was an avid gardener, enjoying working in her backyard. A loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be deeply missed by her daughter Debbie McCarron (Francis) and her son Danny MacLeod; her adoring grandchildren Shelley Andrews (Neal) and Michael McCarron (Erin) and her very special great grandson Noah Andrews all of Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her step father Alphee Poirier, her husband Jack J. MacLeod in 2000 and by her sister Anna LeBlanc (the late Ulysse). Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. Moncton, with visitation on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Botsford St. Moncton on Wednesday December 21, 2011 at 10:30 am with Father Allison Carroll officiating. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in the spring. Donations in memory of Doris made to the Karing Kitchen or to the Canadian Cancer society would be appreciated by her family. The family wish to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of the Moncton Hospital, especially Dr. Sheldon Rubin and Dr. Linda LeBlanc for their loving care given to Doris.
