Obituary of Daniel George Carruthers

Daniel George Carruthers, of Moncton, NB passed away at The Veterans Health Care Centre, on Saturday, May 26, 2012. Born in Fredericton on December 26, 1924, he was the son of the late Pearl (Taylor) Carruthers. Daniel will be sadly missed by his wife of sixty years Jane (Burt); two sons, Jim (Cheryl) of River Philip NS., Dan (Donna) of Brampton Ont.; two grandchildren Jessica and Alex; one great grandchild Bailey also by several nieces and nephews. He was a WWII veteran having served overseas as a combat engineer from 1941-1945. By personal request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial to take place Thursday May 31, 2012 at 2:00pm in Beersville Cemetery. Donations in Daniel’s memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at The Veterans Health Care Centre for their care and compassion during Daniel's stay. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Bros.
