Obituary of Della Mae MacKay

Della MacKay, of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital, on Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Born in Sunny Brae, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Edith (Carson) Murray. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by four daughters, Marjorie Vriesendorp, Karen Fisher (David) both of Moncton, Peggy Lerette of ON. and Judy Comack (Don), of Winnipeg; five sons Darryl MacKay (Pasty), Brian MacKay (Louise), Danny MacKay all of Moncton, Kenny MacKay (Phyllis) of ON. and Richard (Amanda) MacKay of PEI; twenty nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband John K. in 1982; daughters Isabel in 1946 and Linda LeBlanc in 2006; three sisters Julia Steeves, Evelyn Gaynor and Vivian Cassie. By personal request there will be no visitation or funeral service held at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery, Friday, June 6, 2014 at 2:00pm with Reverend Laurel Buckingham officiating.
