Obituary of Dorothy "Jean" Allen

Jean Allen, 69, of Dieppe, passed away peacefully with her family at her side at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Born in Halifax, NS., she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Helen Decker. She was a former Court Stenographer and she attended St. Georges Anglican Church, Church and Queen St. Moncton. A loving and caring mother, grammy, nanny, sister and friend, she will be sadly missed by her children Jim (Wilma) Ebbers of Beaumonville, ON, Angela (Michael) Chipman of Moncton and Aaron (Cathy) Allen of Quispamsis; her adoring grandchildren Julia, Amanda, Ashley and Angelique; three great-grandchildren Austin, Jayden and Zoey; one sister Jocelyn Deschamp of Shelburne, NS; brothers Dwayne and John Decker both of New Glasgow, NS; as well as nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husbands Howard Nickerson and Phillip A. Allen Honoring Jean's wishes cremation has taken place. The Memorial service will be held at St. George's Anglican Church, Church and Queen Streets, Moncton on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at 2:30 pm with The Rev. Chris VanBuskirk officiating. The family will be receiving relatives and friends in the church hall immediately following the service. Donations in Jean's memory made to the CNIB or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
