Obituary of David Morton
STILESVILLE, NB – David Morton 72, of Stilesville passed away peacefully at the Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home in Moncton on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. Born in Ford Bank, he was the son of the late George and late Florence Morton. Before retiring, David was employed as a mechanic and welder for Moncton Crushed Stone for 42 years. He volunteered his time with Search & Rescue for many years. He enjoyed bowling at Fairlanes in mixed leagues, fishing, hunting; he was a great sportsman and an avid card player.
David will be sadly missed by his wife, Marion (Ayles) Morton of Stilesville; three sons, Winston Morton (Kelly) of Porters Lake, NS, Kendall Morton (Lisa) of Fredericton, Jason Morton (Vikki) of Riverview; three grandchildren, Amanda, Benjamin, Russell and two great grandchildren, Owen and Emmerson.
He is also survived by one sister, Betty Roberts (late Percy) of Dartmouth, NS; one brother, Arnold Morton (Janet) of Moncton and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant sister, Hazel.
Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Road, Riverview on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 2:00 pm, Zion Presbyterian Church, 74 Zion Church Road, West Branch, NB, E4W 3H7. In lieu of flowers, donations in David`s memory may be made to K. E. Spencer Memorial Home. Arrangements are in care of Thompson`s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).Visitation Information
