Obituary of Ann Hebert

Ann M. Hebert, age 93 years, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on June 24th, 2010. Born in Bathurst, NB on December 11th, 1916; she was the daughter of the late William and Exelda (Poirier) Mooney. Ann enjoyed many hobbies including baking delicious bread, knitting, and she was very proud of having knit her grandchildren’s christening outfits, which have become heirlooms. She was an avid sports fan and loved to watch Red Sox baseball games, bowling, golf, and boxing. A devoted mother and grandmother, she will be sadly missed by her children Stella Cormier of L'Assomption, PQ, Debra Cahoon (Edward) of Reading, Mass, Ron Cormier of Moncton, 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, special nieces Rita Cormier and Joan Debly, and several other loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her first husband Mathias Cormier in 1979; her second husband James Hebert in 2001; son-in-law Claude Desjardins (1995); sister Minnie Boudreau; brother James Mooney; and sister-in-law Olive (Bunnell) Mooney. In keeping with Ann’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held from Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel (171 Lutz St, Moncton) on Wednesday, June 30th, 2010 at 11:00am with Fr. Allison Carroll officiating. Interment to take place in Our Lady Of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Ann, donations made to the Alzheimer Society, NB, 320 Maple St., Suite 100, Fredericton, NB E3A 3R4, would be greatly appreciated by her family.
