Obituary of Doris Iva Patricia Bannister

Doris Bannister, formerly of 960 St. George Blvd of Moncton, passed away quietly Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at Spencer Memorial Home at the age of 93. For several years Doris was a cook in the logging camps and worked in Housekeeping at the Moncton Hospital. First and foremost she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who always will be remembered for her love of the outdoors, and her many stories. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Carol (Douthwright) Bannister, step-brother William 'Bill' Collier, nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren and by several nieces and nephews.. She was predeceased by her parents James and Ethel Collier, her husband Charles Bannister in 1963 and by her sons Allan A. Bannister in 1987 and Herman I. Bannister in 1993, by brothers Cecil, Harry, Edwin and Earl; and sisters Ruby and Patricia A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2006 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at 627 Salisbury Back Rd. in Colpitts Settlement. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Bros.
