Obituary of Malcolm " Mac " C. Steeves

Malcolm "Mac". Steeves, 59, of Pine Glen NB; passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, November 3, 2006. Born in Pine Glen, NB on June 25, 1947 he was the son of the late Chester and Irene M. (Chappell) Steeves. Mac was an electrician, however has been employed most recently as Business Agent for Local 1555. He was a member of the Advisory Board of Apprenticeship. Mac was an avid outdoorsman enjoying Moose and Duck Hunting, he was a member of the Albert County Hunters Association. He also enjoyed darts and played at the Sergeant Mess Club, City League and in Pine Glen. A friend to all, he will be sadly missed by his family, friends and by his faithful dog Lady. He is survived by wife Carolyn Steeves, children Kathy Weir (Larry) , Christine Wilson (Troy), Todd Chase (Tracy), Trudi Smallwood (Quinn), Jennifer Steeves (Craig), all of Pine Glen and Melissa Steeves at home; nine grandchildren Bradley, Amanda, Stephen, Ashley, Colt, Dylan, Morgan, Bailey and MacKenzie; two brothers Kenneth Steeves (Marilyn) of Pine Glen and Gregory Steeves (Fern) of Riverview, two sisters Barbara Mowbray (Russell) of Lutes Mountain and Betty Harrison (Steven) of Riverview also by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his step-father John MacDonald and by his daughter Kimberly Rosanne Steeves in 1978. Visitation is at Riverview Funeral Home, Pine Glen Road on Sunday, November 5, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, November 6, 2006 at 1:30 pm. Interment will be in Wesleyan Union Cemetery, Upper Coverdale, NB. Donations in Mac's memory made to Canadian Cancer Society or to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation "Palliative Care" would be appreciated by his family.
