Obituary of Michael "Mike" E. Dolan

Mike Dolan, of Riverview, passed away unexpectedly at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at the age of 64. Born in Chichester South, England; he was the son of the late Charles and Joyce (Garrett) Dolan. Mike was in the Canadian Armed Forces and served in Cyprus as a peacekeeper. He later joined the RCMP and was stationed in Doaktown, Ottawa, Fredericton and Moncton. Following his retirement from the RCMP, he worked as a Fraud Investigator with the Atlantic Lottery Corp retiring in 2003. He was a huge Aviation buff, he enjoyed playing golfing, talking about current events, spending time at Handyman's Rentals with his retired buddies, or on warm summer nights at home "his haven" to BBQ and spend time with is family, friends and his K-9 Mindy or as he called her "Baby Cakes". A friend to all that knew him he will be sadly missed by his wife, companion and best friend Sharon, by his loving children Susan Wilson (Stephen) of Ottawa and Jeffrey Dolan (Tiffany) of Vancouver, step daughters Chelsea Dawson of Halifax and Paige Dawson at home; he will also be greatly missed by his father and mother in law Les and Betty Myles of Doaktown, brother in laws Kevin Myles (Jill) of Riverview and Scott Myles (Lynn) of Tracadie; nieces, nephews and his many friends and follow officers. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Pat. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the Riverview Funeral Home, Pine Glen Rd. on Monday, December 18, 2006 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Funeral service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Carol Mullin officiating. Donations made in Mike's memory made to the Oncology Dept's of the Moncton or Dr. Georges L Dumont Hospital Foundations would be appreciated by his family.
