Obituary of Dr. Stuart C. Geddes D.D.S.

Dr. Stuart C. Geddes 82, of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, February 17, 2007. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Allison and Daisy (Colpitts) Geddes. Stuart was a graduate of McGill University in 1949, following his graduation, he returned to Moncton in 1950, to married the former Norma (Garrison) and to open his practise as a Dental Surgeon which he worked for over forty years before retiring. He was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports, curling and hockey. His other hobbies included painting of various scenic areas and woodworking. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Norma Geddes, two sons Brian (Heather) Geddes and Jeff (Connie) Geddes, two grandchildren Sean Geddes and Jillian Geddes all of Moncton, also by nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister Ellen McQuarrie and a brother Robert Geddes. Stuart was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home with visitation on Monday, February 19, 2007 from 7:00 to 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at 2:00 pm with The Rev. Chris VanBuskirk officiating. Interment will be in Wesleyan Union Cemetery at a later date. Donations in Stuart's memory made to Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation "Palliative Care" would be appreciated by his family.
