Obituary of Ethel Frances Brooks

Ethel Frances Brooks of Moncton,NB passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, February 19, 2007 at the age of 98 years. Born in Bruer Maine, USA on January 30, 1909 she was the daughter of the late Charles and Maude (Rattie) Price. She was a former member of St. Pauls United Church, Riverview, NB. Ethel was a former Telephone Operator for NB Tel, a former owner of a local dairy bar in Campbellton, and a former receptionist working in switch board dept. of The Campbellton Soldiers Memorial Hospital. Ethel enjoyed knitting, needle point. and above all she loved her family. A loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother she will be missed by her sons William E. (Cynthia) of Amherst,NS Rodney S.(Katherine) of Edmonton, AB and Wayne A. (Aline) of Riverview; brother Dougall Prince of Niagara Falls; 8 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Edward Brooks in 1962; daughter Doris Dealy in 2003; sister Elizabeth; brothers James, Allan and Everette. Interment will be in The Campbellton Rural Cemetery at a later date. In Ethel's memory, donations made to "Renovating the Spirit" for the oncology unit at The Friends of The Moncton Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
