Obituary of Gwendolyn Florence Gates

Gwen Gates, formerly of Crystal Drive, Riverview, passed away with her family by her side at The Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home early Saturday morning, May 26, 2007 at the age of 88 years. Born in Montreal, PQ, on September 17, 1918 she was the daughter of the late William and Florence C. (Jarvis) Taylor. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Anglican Church and a member of the Anglican Church Women. She is survived by two daughters Dale York (Allan) of Moncton and Donna Tierney (Wayne) of Ottawa; sons Bill Gates of Moncton and David Gates of Calgary; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a sister Dorothy Henry of Orilla, ON, also by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Robert J. Gates in 1992 and her son James Taylor. There will be no viewing or visitation at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at St. John The Baptist Anglican Church on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Karman & Rev. Valerie Hunt officiating. In Gwen's memory, donations made to The K.E. Spencer Memorial Home, or The Arthritis Society would be appreciated by her family. The family express a sincere thank you to all the staff at The K. E.
