Obituary of James Casson Smith

James Casson Smith, of Moncton, NB, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, August 9, 2007 at the age of 69 years. Born in Halifax, NS on October 25, 1937 he was the son of the late Ralph P. and Mary Ellen (Casson) Smith. Jim was a retired sales manager for Ideal Electric with over 30 years service. He is survived by his wife Alice Smith of Moncton; daughters Angelina P. and her husband Terry Mullins of Amherst, NS, Sheila J. Landry of Moncton, NB, and Gina A. Myers of Dieppe, NB; sons Ian J. Smith of Brandon, MAN, and David A. Smith of New Glasgow, NS; brother Allan B. Smith and his wife Mona of Winnipeg, MAN; five grandchildren; also by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by two brothers. A memorial service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Monday, August 13, 2007 at 2:00 pm with Dr. Philip G. A. Griffin-Allwood officiating. In Jim's memory, donations made to The NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by his family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Bros.
