Obituary of K. Richard "Skip" Carver
Our father. Our grandfather. Our dear friend. Our laughter. Our in between man and myth. Our Prince Edward Island's soul. Our craftsman of word and wood. You have the same deep, rare grain as your favoured bird's eye maple--hard but warm. In the darkest year of our lives, you gifted us with the finest one of yours. Leave us comforted by the certainty that this cold ache is only the long but passing shadow cast by a bright and joyful life. Your immovable will could not be denied in this world. Now let that strength swallow your pain, our grief and this loss. Follow it towards loving rest in the sunlight of your everlasting June.
