Obituary of Lorraine Catherine Murphy

Lorraine C. Murphy, of Moncton, passed away at her residence on Monday, September 8, 2008, at the age of 93 years. Born in Saint John, NB she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine (Foley) Ramsay. She was a member of St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church an a lifetime member of St. Bernard's CWL. Lorraine loved to read, and spending the summers at the cottage with her family. A loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she will be sadly missed by her daughter Suzanne McCabe of Moncton; her sons Patrick James Murphy of Florida and Terrence Michael Murphy (Valerie) of Mississauga; eight grandchildren Joanna, Stephen, Andrew, Ashley, Michele, Leslie, Patrick and Michelanne; seven great grandchildren; her sister Olive O'Leary and her brother Douglas Ramsey both of Saint John, NB; as well as nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Patrick James Murphy on 1972 also by her sister Hortense and her infant brother Andrew. At Lorraine's request there is no visitation at the Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be held at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at 9:30am with Father Allison Carroll officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Donations in Lorraine's memory made to St. Bernard's Elevator Fund, 43 Botsford St. Moncton, NB E1C 4W9 would be appreciated.
