Obituary of Francis Arthur Colin "Frank" Johnston

Frank Johnston, age 82 years of Moncton, passed away peacefully at his home in Moncton on Wednesday, April 15, 2009. Born in Moncton on August 5th, 1926, he was the son of the late Daniel and Lila (Langille) Johnston. He served his country in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War and then went on to a lengthy career with Canada Post. Frank was a very active member within the Holy Family Parish. He will be greatly missed by his devoted wife Frances; daughter Elinor Richardson (Dale); sons Angus Johnston, Cyril (Andrea) Johnston and Neil Johnston; sisters Maxine Johnston and Catherine Breau (Fred); brother Joe (Jan) Johnston; grandchildren Katie, Andrew, Daniel, and Thomas; also by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Betty Wallace, Marion Creaghan, and Eleanor Finney. Visitation will be held from Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home on Friday, April 17th, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Parish prayers and sharing of memories will be held at 8:30pm from the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be held from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, April 18th, 2009 at 10:00am with Fr. Phil Mulligan officiating. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the Hemo Dialysis Unit at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital for all their care and support. Donations in memory of Frank, made to Kidney Foundation of Canada or to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by his family.
