Obituary of John Patrick Trainor

John Trainor, of Bedford NS; passed away after a long period of ill health on November 13, 2009. Born in Moncton, NB; he was the son of the late Thomas and Peggy (Maguire) Trainor. He was predeceased by a twin sister Joanne Patricia and brother Frank.. John was employed for many years with the Bank of Montreal, most recently as Branch Manager in Halifax until his retirement. He was a proud Purple Knight graduating from Moncton High School in 1967 excelling at basketball and football. His competitive nature in high school stayed with him until he was no longer able to play sports. He is survived by sons Michael (Lex) of Massachusetts, Christopher (Janet) of Enfield, NS; and Steven of New Glasgow; grandchildren Nicholas, Emily, Julia and Elliot; sister Cathie (Greg) Murphy and brothers Robert and Peter (Jane) all of Moncton; as well as various nieces and nephews. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Tuttle Brother. Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. Moncton, NB on Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 12 noon until the time of departure to the church at 1:30pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Bernard's Church, Botsford St. Moncton, Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 2:00 pm with Father Allison Carroll officiating. A reception will be held in the church hall immediately following the funeral mass. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, NB Donations made in John's memory to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by his family.
