Obituary of Rouel C. Crossman
Rouel C. Crossman, age 82, of Riverview, NB; passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday, April 3, 2011. Born in Sackville, NB, on July 3, 1928, he was the son of the late Hilyard and Norma (Campbell) Crossman. Rouel was a member of Riverview Baptist Church, where he served his Lord faithfully for many years as Sunday School Teacher, Brigade Leader, Deacon and was involved in various other church activities. He was employed at Moncton Times and Transcript for 30 years as an Ad Compositor. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and cherished time with his family. Left with fond memories is his wife of 62 years Pearl (Mitton) Crossman; three daughters Evron (Jerry) Brun, Brenda (Frank) Fudge, Norma Crossman and one son Terrence (Gay) Crossman; six grandchildren Andrew Wilbur, Scott Wilbur, Barbie Greer, Brad Gunn, Justin Crossman, Tera-Mae Crossman and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters Gertrude Greene, Gladys MacKinnon and Leona (Hubert) Smith; sisters-in-law Gwen Crossman and Marion Crossman. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers Hilyard and David Crossman; three sisters Barbara Jones, Mary Lou Procter and Judith Chambers. Resting at the Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. with visitation on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jonathan Gorham and Pastor Jim Eagles officiating. Interment will be in Sackville Cemetery, Sackville, NB in the spring. Donations in Rouel's memory made to the Riverview Baptist Church, Bethel Baptist Church or to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital would be appreciated.
