Obituary of Reginald Carl Steele

Reg Steele, of Moncton, passed away on his 58th birthday at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital, on Friday, February 15, 2013. Born in Sackville, NB he was the son of the late Leroy and Nettie Mae (Simpson-Goodwin) Steele. Reg was a former employee of Moncton Community Resident Inc., working as an outreach counselor. Reg enjoyed the great outdoors, fishing, camping, "jeeping"; he loved gardening, people and pets. Above all was the love he shared with his family and his dog Shelby. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 22 years Deborah Steele of Moncton; son Justin Steele of Calgary; step son Tim Ward of Saint John, NB; sisters Ruth Morrison (Paul Saulnier) of Moncton and Viola (Wayne) Chappell of Dorchester; brothers James Steele (Sharon LeBlanc) of Shediac, Bobby (Kathy) Steele of Sackville, and Randy (Rose) Steele of Moncton; brother in law Michael Whittle (Erdine Young) of Ottawa, ON; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister Cathy. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel Home on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 1:00pm-2:00pm, followed by a funeral service at 2:00pm with Rev. Jeff Irving officiating. In Reg's memory, donations made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to the NB Diabetic Association would be appreciated by the family.
