Obituary of George Love

George Frederick Love, 81, passed away peacefully on Monday June 1, 2026.

Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Fred and Evelyn (Rogers) Love.

George was a retired Locomotive Engineer with Canadian National Railway and VIA Rail in Moncton. He enjoyed classic cars, motorcycles, boating, and was a proud union activist.

George will be sadly missed by his best friend, Jean; his sister, Helen; his sons, Rob (Jenni) and Jim; his daughter, Kim (Sarah); his grandchildren, Tom, Jason, Justin, Bradley, and Katie; as well as several nieces and nephews.

George was predeceased by his parents as well as his sister, Linda.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Fergusons Riverview Community Chapel on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow in the Funeral Home Reception Centre.

In George’s memory, donations made to Albert House Hospice (https://hospicesenb.ca/get-involved/donate/) or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
