Obituary of Waive Madden

Kathern “Waive” Madden of Riverview passed away at the Albert House Hospice on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at the age of 85 years. Born in Borden, PEI, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Annie (Rector) MacDonald.

Waive was known for her kindness to people and her love of animals, especially her beloved cat, Maddie. She loved music, gardening and playing cards with family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, David, Kevin (Rose); daughter, Kimberly; her step-sons, Budd (Linda), Stephen (Linda) and step-daughter, Carol Sharpe (the late Reg); 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Donnie, Blair, Ernie, Barry and sisters, Marion and Valerie.

In addition to her parents, Waive was predeceased by her husband, George H. Madden in 2021 and sisters, Joyce Ramsay and brother, Everette MacDonald.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fergusons Riverview Funeral Centre & Fergusons Crematorium, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, NB, (506) 857-9544 where a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 11:00 am.

Interment to take place at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
