Obituary of Marie Morang

Marie Morang of St. Charles, NB, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

 

Born in Kent Lake, NB, she was the daughter of the late Jean-Baptiste Chevarie and the late Lucie (Maranda) Chevarie.

 

Marie is survived by her four sons: Dave Morang, with whom she resided; Ernest Morang of Cap-Lumière; Ricky Morang (Christine) of Kent Lake; and Dennis Morang (Karen) of Miramichi; and by her daughter, Marlene Morang of Canaan. She will also be sadly missed by her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her nieces and nephews.

 

Marie was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Gerard Morang; and all of her siblings: sisters Adéline, Esther, Justine, Lodia, and Marguerite; and brothers Joachim, Mélème, Norbert, and Olivier.

 

She will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and the deep love she had for her family. She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures - fishing, playing cards, and watching the birds. 

 

A celebration of life will be held in her honour on June 7, 2026, at the Saint-Charles Community Center from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
