Obituary of Lee Burnham

Lee W. Burnham of Black River Bridge, NB, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at the Losier Hall after a lengthy illness. Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late William and Helen (McNairn) Burnham.

He will be remembered and missed by his wife, Bernadette (Forrest) Burnham; son Jim; granddaughters, Bronwen and Emma; and by his in-laws, nieces and nephews. Also, he will be missed by many friends in the community. His pups Rosie and Susie Q will miss his scratches and cuddles.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his daughter, Tracy. Lee was happiest with family, especially the young ones who he would share his love of animals. Lee’s passion was his farm and all the animals. He and Bernie had many animals over the years, from cows, mini horses, dogs, cats,goats, and anything that needed a home.

He was very involved in the Napan Fair, and liked travelling to other fairs with friends. Lee was very active in the Black River Cemetery, serving as the Treasurer for many years.

There will be no visitation and a private family service will be held at later date.
