Bill and Joanne,

Deepest condolences to the Comeau family. I grew up down the street from them in Riverview, and I remember how absolutely hilarious Curt was when we were younger. The old ‘67 Spider-Man cartoon was in reruns then on TV, and Curt had some ‘colourful’ alternate lyrics to the theme song, which would crack me up every time. In the 50 odd years since then, whenever I hear it, I’ll sing Curt’s altered lyrics, and smile.

Curt was a wonderful person and a joy to be around. Stephanie and I were friends and both my husband Dan and I had the pleasure of spending time with the two of them on various outings through the years. We had golf and the love of our pets in common and Dan and Curt were like two peas in a pod, beating Stephanie and I real good at a game of trivia one night at the beginning of their relationship. We were thrilled when Stephanie and Curt joined our bowling team last year and again this year. He was a kind and gentle soul and we will miss him very much. Our deepest condolences to Stephanie and his family and friends.

Stephanie, Bill, Joanne & Family, it is with great sadness we read of Curt’s sudden passing. Our memories go back to Riverview Minor hockey days when he and Steven played. We often reminisce about the time we were at a hockey game in Kent County and Curt knocked a player down to retaliate for someone hitting the goal tender and he immediately went to the penalty box. The referee didn’t see what happened and the Riverview fans were all yelling at Curt - get out of the penalty box! The comraderie that team had was very special. Our deepest sympathy to all of you, Doug & Mary LeBlanc, PEI

Curt was the greatest friend a person could have. He was the most unselfish, caring, compassionate, and dependable person anyone could call a friend. Curt would do anything for anyone —especially his closest friends. Curt was always involved (and sometimes the star) in the greatest adventures shared with those he loved, and you could always count on him to bring laughter and a good story.
Curt was part of a close circle of lifelong friends who will miss him dearly. He laughed with them, and he made them laugh. Time spent together—whether it was a day on the river, a round on the course, a story over a Friday beer, or the annual Festin gathering—held a special place in his heart, just as Curt holds a special place in theirs. Curt was always there for each of them, and he will forever remain at the core of their shared memories.
